Ardel and JAM Architects are delighted to present The Vivid Collection, three remarkable homes that perfectly represent the architectural team’s visionary design practice.
When invited to work with Ardel on the collection, JAM were drawn to designing with a completely blank canvas, and creating a product that responds to the current climate.
They were acutely aware that each of the homes needed to be as adaptable as possible, catering to a wide range of clients with contrasting requirements, locations and site orientations. The challenge lay in meeting these expectations with no site context or client brief to work from.

Courtyard House
Bright and welcoming, Courtyard House is a highly flexible design that has an option to suit every stage of life.
Breezeway House
A slender single storey setting with the option to extend upstairs, Breezeway house is designed for urban living. Perfectly suited to couples or families as they cycle through changing life stages.
Cantilever House
Suited to generous blocks and larger households, Cantilever House offers everything required for modern family living. Contemporary, flexible, and across two expansive floors, each space can be adapted to the everchanging needs of growing and contracting families.

ABOUT THE COLLECTION —
Drawing on prior experience in the high-end architectural space and the pain points of living at home during the pandemic, the concept of the Vivid Collection was born.
Three exceptional homes that are highly adaptable and liveable, with built forms that seamlessly integrate with their surrounding landscape. Whilst each residence is unique in form, all were designed around a central concept of a courtyard, with a common material palette woven throughout.
The careful use of windows draws light into interior spaces, while the ability to adjust each design allows for various orientations. Each dwelling also has the option to divide certain areas of the home. Together, this collection provides a range of options that can accommodate every lifestyle and life stage.
